Die Wouxun KG-988 bieten wie viele typische Handfunkgeräte dieser Art 16 schaltbare (programmierbare) Kanäle. Mit bis zu 8 Watt Sendeleistung liegen die KG-988 in der Sendleistungs-Oberliga unter den Handfunkgeräten. Je nach Akkuzustand und Frequenz dürfte das wohl in der Realität etwas geringer ausfallen. Denoch eine enorme Leistung für so ein kompaktes Handfunkgerät. Allerdings sollte man die hohe Sendeleistung auch nicht überbewerten.
Programmierung durch die Luft
Die Wouxun KG-988 können per Bluetooth und optionaler Software programmiert werden. Entweder Windows oder Android. Das ist nicht nur sehr cool, sondern auch sehr praktisch. Ein optionales PC-Interface ist nicht weiter notwendig.
